It is a neatly setup casino with the important topics at the top of the website. The colors they have chosen are orange, gray and black. A few purple or green highlights point you in the direction they wish you to go. Once you have signed in, you will see a honey-comb style background in gray-scale, with a glorious golden opaque glow running over the background. It is a very minimalistic design and everything you need is right at your fingertips for both mobile and browser gambling. You will see a small menu showing your username, which is important - take note of this - your balance in USD, the Casino Lobby, the Cashier and then a Logout button.
I have immediately noticed a few graphical hiccups on the home page, but we will discuss this in greater detail further in the review. You have options of casinos to use for your gaming, and this immediately shows that BitBet is not a stand-alone casino, but instead hosts other casino options. It does not tell us who the game providers are, but only which games are available to play.
BitBet claims creating an account is as easy as 1, 2, 3, so let’s go through the steps and see if they are correct. From the moment you click on “Join Now” you can see it’s not as easy as they make it out to be.
You are required to insert your personal information straight off the cuff. You are required to insert your first and last name, a contact number and the country you are playing from. There is a limit of the length of your password, 10 characters, which raised my eyebrow. You are required to complete a security question on registration which will be used as a verification question when you process a withdrawal, so be sure to choose one you will recall in the heat of the moment. Once you have completed the information requested, you are taken to a welcome page which provides you with your unique account number. You will receive a verification email confirming that this is the username they will request of you when you log back in so be sure to take note of it. You are also given the option to make a deposit from here, or you can head to the lobby where you can choose from two casino styles to play on. I appreciate this and not the forceful shove to immediately make a deposit.
Many depositing options available
Provably Fair games available
Visible gaming limits on each game
No Live Chat or easy to find support channels
Slow depositing verification
Not a recognised licence
Few gaming options available
BitBet works completely differently to any other casino I have played in. It is like a holding facility for other “casinos”. You can select which of the available casinos you wish to play on and then the games specific to that casino will become available to you. There is no information as to who the game providers are, which is a bit strange. At the time of writing this review, there were only two casinos to choose from: Fortuna Casino and Vegas Offshore Casino. Let’s go through each option in more detail below:
Slots: There are 26 different slot games to choose from in this arena. Each game shows you the minimum and maximum bets available. You can choose from designs such as Jurassic Age, Spins of Independence, Irish Shamrock, Frosty’s Christmas and more.
Table Games: You have 11 different games to choose from here: Baccarat, Three Card Poker, Stud Poker, Let it Ride Poker, Pai Gow Poker, American Roulette, Double Exposure, Blackjack, Spanish Blackjack, Switch Blackjack and Video Keno.
Video Pokers: With 21 different styles of Video Pokers available you are sure to get that Full House feeling. There are more traditional versions of Video Poker available here like: Deuces Wild, Aces & Eights, Jacks or Better and Jokers Wild.
Vegas Offshore Casino
Table Games: Just 9 to choose from, but they are sure to pack a punch. Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Baccarat, Casino Hold’em, Stud Poker and Three Card Poker are up for grabs.
Slot Machines: Another humble offering of only 11 different slots. Some classic slots like Fruits Slots and Jewels of Egypt, and then a few futuristic games like Crypto Land and Alien Spinvaders. Each game has a minimum and maximum betting amount visible underneath which will help you make an educated choice on which to wager on.
Video Pokers: With only 3 games to play, you have limited options, but great choices. Jacks or Better VP, Deuces Wild and Aces and Faces are the games on offer. There is a third casino type - Caribbean Casino - which I was never able to catch open or available and this is where you will be able to partake in the Sportsbook promotion as discussed below.
There are very limited promotions available at BitBet. I have only managed to find three, two of which tie into each other.
If you deposit $25 or more you will be credited with a 200% match bonus. This bonus has a 40 times playthrough requirement which is calculated on the deposit + bonus combined. There is no information relating to if it is immediately credited and if you can cancel the bonus you received, or if you are stuck with it unwillingly.
Sports Betting Online bonus
This comes with a 10% signup bonus + 10% reload bonus + 10% cash back win or lose weekly. There is no wagering required. The cashback period runs from Monday to Sunday. It is credited to your account at 12:00 ET. You will need to place at least 5 bets per week.
When playing BlackJack in the Casablanca Casino, from Tuesday to Monday. The Ace card in every Natural 21 will show a picture of one of the top NHL, NFL or NBA player. The more Ace cards you collect, the more will show on your personal leaderboard. You will then earn the equivalent of average bet multiplied by the total number of winnings players you have collected. This reward is credited to your account as a Cash Bonus with no roll over.
Coins and Payments
When I first took a look at this casino, I thought it was exclusively Crypto coins on offer, but once I was able to sign up and move over to the depositing page I was pleasantly surprised by the deposit and withdrawing options available to us.
Fiat options: Prepaid Gift Card, Cash App, Paypal, Venmo, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Money Order, Cash Bank Deposits, Money Gram, Walmart to Walmart, Zelle Pay, Amazon GIft Cards, Western Union.
To make a deposit you will need to click on “Cashier” in the home page.
Then select which of the currencies or methods you would like to deposit with.
I opted to deposit using LTC for this casino today. The minimum amount for LTC deposits is $5, and the maximum is $100,000. You can insert a promotion code or comment in the deposit window.
You will receive a warning to send the exact amount to the address. My deposit took 43 minutes to arrive in my casino account which is quite a long time considering they say that the deposits are “no-wait”. I was not able to process a withdrawal, however, I can report that the minimum withdrawal for most Crypto withdrawals is $5, and $1 for Fiat options. The fees are incredibly high for withdrawals - $50 for every crypto coin, Paypal to Paypal, Cash App, Venmo, Money Order and Zelle Pay, however, there are free options such as Walmart 2 Walmart, Amazon Gift Cards and Virtual Prepaid Vanilla Visa/MasterCard. The average withdrawal takes approximately 3 - 5 business hours and you can request an update through the Cashier by clicking on “Info” and then “Request an Update”. There is a limit of 2 x $500 cashouts per week. Not all depositing methods are available for withdrawing, for example, you can’t withdraw to a prepaid gift card.
Customer Support (and languages)
Customer Support is tricky at BitBet casino. There is no live chat or support option at first glance.
Once you have headed through to the deposit platform, there is a contact number and Live Chat portal available to use. I tried over a few days and different times of the day, but Live Chat was never online to take my chat. I then went into “Info” and then “Request an Update” and was able to trigger a notification through an automated service and received a response within 25 minutes, but not human touch at all. Everything was automated. There are X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels available to follow and they are rather active on those platforms, there are messaging options available with both Facebook and X which should assist with some help if you require additional services.
As far as I can see, the casino is only available in English. There is no option to change the language in the casino, there is no Dashboard where you can update your information and there is no flag section showing otherwise.
Site Response Time
I had no issues navigating the website, however, when running the site through a performance checker, they were unable to actually pull a report based on the following:
“The SSL certificate for this site is not trusted in all web browsers”.
As long as you use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge you shouldn’t have any gaming issues.
The webpage worked really well playing on Google Chrome. I never had many delays or any issues, besides a graphical issue when scrolling up and down. The Background image drags when you scroll up and down on the registration page slowly. It’s not a big issue, rather just a noticeable “feature”. While playing on my phone, I didn’t experience any glitches or issues like this funnily enough. It ran as smoothly as it did on the browser version.
Security and Community reputation
When it comes to account security, BitBet has a unique functionality in the form of a “security question”. If you wish to make a deposit, update your password, or process a withdrawal, you will be asked this security question. You need to select it on creation of the account, and then input an answer. When it comes to verification you need to provide the exact same answer, punctuation must be the same, spacing must be the same, it has to be identical to proceed to the next step in the process.
With BitBet being a long standing casino, there are many posts on Bitcointalk however there is nothing recent to report on this platform. The most recent post relating to BitBet was in 2015 and it was an advert posted on their behalf. Looking online for other more recent opinions from the community, I found that overall the community is not too happy with BitBet casino. There are many flags relating to the limited games available, lack of support and information being hidden from players.
The limited amount of games, and infrequent availability of customer support makes for tricky gaming enjoyment. Scouring through the internet for feedback or guidance, since I didn’t quite understand how the casino worked at first, there was very little positive information relating to this casino. One of the biggest perks this casino offers is its availability to USA and Canadian players. The Costa Rican licence doesn’t hold much weight in the greater Crypto Gambling arena. I appreciate that they are very public about their Provably Fair gaming options and statistics. Personally, this casino was not for me. I didn’t get any fulfilment out of playing here. My deposit took 43 minutes to arrive and lasted 5 minutes in game time.
For a casino that has been online for over 10 years, I had really high expectations for their offerings, which just didn’t come. I searched high and low and at every turn I was disappointed. If you choose to play here, as we always say, keep an eye on managing your bankroll!
For a more legally recognised casino with more game and crypto gambling options, we suggest you try:
BetComets: With over 15 000 games to choose from, with a Curaçao License, this casino offers you a variety of depositing, withdrawing and gambling options. They offer 24/7 Live Chat and a VIP program to work towards.
Roobet: Celebrating its 5th year online, this casino offers over 4000 games, hybrid depositing options, and is fully licensed. It offers 24/7 Live Chat and email support.
Thunderpick: This Crypto Casino offers a wide variety of fun, vibrant games. It is available to USA players from certain states. Their 24/7 support team is friendly, efficient and are willing to assist you with any question you may have.
